tmGroup brings choice to portfolio document review with tmDocAssist

tmGroup’s first AI-powered technology saves fee-earners up to an hour on every
property in a portfolio

SWINDON, 12th October 2026. tmGroup, the property search provider and conveyancing
technology company, has launched tmDocAssist, its first AI-powered product. Designed
for firms handling property portfolios, it reduces the time spent reading Local Authority
search results and transferring information into reports. tmGroup estimates that it could
save fee-earners up to an hour per property and significantly expand firms’ capacity for
billable time and enable them to deliver an enhanced service to their client base.
tmDocAssist reads CON29 and LLC1 search results, extracts relevant information, and
presents it in a standardised report.

The product uses a confidence threshold to determine when a result needs human
review. Where the AI cannot extract information with sufficient confidence, an
experienced tmGroup search specialist checks and verifies it before the report is
released to the customer.

Matt Green, CEO of tmGroup, said:
“Our customers told us how much time they spend reading and rekeying Local Authority
search results, property by property. We built tmDocAssist to take on that repetitive
work while giving firms confidence in the information they receive. It is our first AIpowered product and an important step in our wider strategy to combine useful
technology with the expertise and service our customers expect.”

tmDocAssist gives law firms another way to manage document review across property
portfolios. Firms can choose a client-facing PDF report or a filterable Excel spreadsheet
to suit the way their teams and clients work. The report is updated as new searches
become available, helping teams keep track of progress across a portfolio
